Australian firm Mallesons Stephen Jacques has boosted its Hong Kong office with the appointment of Linklaters banking and finance partner Steven Christopher.
Christopher, who left in September, has been appointed as part of Mallesons’ continued expansion in the region and follows the firm’s merger with local practice Kwok & Yih in October.
Commenting on the appointment Mallesons’ chief executive partner Robert Milliner said: "Steven’s appointment is a direct response to growing client demand for an increased presence on the ground in Hong Kong, demonstrating Mallesons’ commitment to the region.
"We look forward to continuing to grow with our clients by anticipating and meeting their needs," he added.
Christopher, who has been practising law in Hong Kong since 1991, is due to join Mallesons in January 2005.
