DLA Piper has strengthened its Dubai office with two hires from Australian firm Mallesons Stephen Jacques.
Damian McNair has joined the firm from Mallesons' Sydney office with his Perth-based colleague Jim Delkousis, who is set to join him in the Middle East in due course. Both join DLA Piper as partners.
DLA Piper's Middle East presence covers a number of practice areas, including corporate, banking, litigation and construction.
Nigel Knowles, joint CEO at DLA Piper, said that, while Delkousis will be working alongside McNair on construction projects, he will also have considerable input into the litigation side of the business.
"He's a really good litigator and we really needed someone to head that part of our business in the Middle East," said Knowles.
