Nordic firm Magnusson has hired three partners for its Copenhagen office, including the managing partner of Eversheds’ local office, Nikolaj Juhl Hansen.
Hansen joins Magnusson along with Accura lawyer Jens Christian Dreyer and Rønne & Lundgren lawyer Jesper Kronborg.
The appointment follows Eversheds’ announcement that it was closing down its Danish operations (24 January 2013), followed by confirmation that it was entering into an association with Rønne & Lundgren (5 February 2013).
All three of the new partners are M&A specialists.
Hansen was appointed as co-managing partner of Eversheds’ Copenhagen office in 2010 following the departure of senior partner Troels Askerud (25 October 2010). He will also head Magnusson’s Danish China desk.
The appointments are the second significant move for Magnusson in a month. A fortnight ago the firm announced it was launching in Berlin with the hire of Thomas Kaiser-Stockmann from Mannheimer Swartling (5 February 2013).
