After promoting just one associate last year, Macfarlanes has made up four partners across four practice areas.
Jatinder Bains will become a partner in the firm’s banking and finance group, while Matthew McCahearty is promoted into the firms litigation group as a general commercial litigator.
Hayley Robinson and Malcolm Walton will join the partnership in the employment department and competition department, respectively.
The promotions will take effect on 1 May.
In 2010 Macfarlanes made up one partner in its pensions department.
