Mace & Jones hires tribunal chairman

Alan Coventry joins as a consultant after spending 20 years as
full-time chairman of the Liverpool Tribunal. Martin Edwards, head of employment law at Mace & Jones, said: "This is an ideal opportunity to provide clients with insight into tribunal procedure."
Coventry was a partner at Manchester firm George Davis & Co before his appointment as chairman of the Liverpool Employment Tribunal in 1982. He was a founder member and president
of the Council of Employment Tribunal Chairmen.
"It's very unusual for a full-time chairman with such long experience to return to private practice," said Edwards, who has appeared before Coventry many times.
Coventry said: "Mace & Jones has a national reputation for its work in employment law and it seemed the perfect platform to start a new chapter in my career."
