Spanish independent Cuatrecasas has posted a record increase in turnover, boosting revenue by more than 18 per cent to hit e225m (£169m).
The firm streaked past the e200m (£150m) barrier this year, seeing turnover increase by e35m (£26m) from e190m (£143m) after the corporate team put in a strong performance. Cuatrecasas advised on 50 M&A deals for a total value of e63bn (£47bn).
The firm's president Emilio Cuatrecasas said: "2007 has been the best year in our history for the quality and quantity of transactions. We've advised on eight of the 10 most important M&A deals this year."
He added that the credit crisis would not have a big effect on growth in 2008, projecting a revenue rise of between 11 and 15 per cent.
The firm's corporate, commercial and tax departments contributed a total of 74 per cent of revenue, with litigation bringing in 17 per cent and employment 9 per cent.
Cuatrecasas' Madrid office is now on a par with its Barcelona HQ, with each accounting for 33 per cent of the firm's business.
