Lovells unveils bribery/corruption divisionLovells has set up a taskforce to handle cases of bribery and corruption. The team will be made up of dispute resolution partners who will be the first point of contact for clients, offering advice on best practice and risk management.

The Government is expected to launch a new bribery bill this year following a number of high-profile cases. London dispute resolution partner and taskforce
coordinator Jeremy Cole said: “We expect more allegations of bribery and corruption to come to light as the recession bites. Individuals may be more willing to pay bribes to secure major contracts, whilst those in straitened circumstances might be more willing to accept them.”
