This year, The Lawyer’s annual ranking of the largest UK law firms by turnover is available as an interactive, digital benchmarking tool. For the first time this will allow you to manipulate each data set against the metrics of your choice.
Lovells has promoted 82 lawyers to senior associate position, with the bulk of promotions being made outside the UK.
Forty-seven of the promotions were made in continental Europe, 24 in the UK, six in Asia and the Middle East, and five in the US
The promotions follow the firm having made up 46 lawyers to its of counsel role, and 18 to the partnership (TheLawyer.com, 5 June).
Lovells said the majority of the promotions have been made in the commerce and real estate practice, which saw 27 new senior associates, with a further 24 promoted in corporate, 16 in dispute resolution and 15 in finance.
Managing partner David Harris said the spread of promotions showed the firm’s “continued significant development of the firm's international practice.”
In May, Lovells reported turnover for the year-end of £479m, up from £425m last year, while PEP rose from £599,000 to £662,000. (TheLawyer.com, 15 May)
