Lovells loves India

Lovells loves India First it was bank accounts, then IT staff. Now, in a sign of the times, Lovells' litigation practice has outsourced the document review process of a major case to India.

According to litigation head Patrick Sherrington, a Lovells team flew to India to offer training on how to identify the vital elements amid great swathes of documents.

Sherrington said: "The use of other jurisdictions is some-thing that's likely to become much more focused in the future. The impetus for us was to provide a response to a client that would be acceptable and that they would recognise was genuinely seeking to provide a cost-effective solution. We thought it was an effective way to achieve our objectives in this case."

For the firm that pioneered its Mexican Wave concept of outsourcing property work to regional law firms, perhaps this is its Indian Wave.
