Lovells goes live with Saudi association
Lovells has launched an association in Saudi Arabia with local firm Al Yaqoub Attorneys and Legal Advisers, The Lawyer can reveal.
The Riyadh-based firm, which is led by managing partner Montasir Al-Mohammed, counts Saudi Telecommunication Company, Emaar Group and international hotels such as Crowne Plaza among its clients.
As first reported by The Lawyer, Lovells’ Dubai-based lawyers Imran Mufti and Mustafa Kamal are spearheading the initiative (10 August 2009).
This comes after several months of negotiations in which Lovells spoke with more than one local firm, in a bid to expand its Gulf capability out Dubai hub and into the region’s largest economy.
This follows Saudi openings by international firms including Eversheds with Hani Al Quarshi Law Firm (27 April 2009) and Clyde & Co with Abdulaziz Al Bosaily (6 April 2009).
