Lovells adds dispute resolution capability in Madrid

Lovells’ fledgling Madrid office has been boosted following the appointment of Jose Luis Huerta to head the firm’s Spanish dispute resolution practice.

Huerta, previously a senior associate at Landwell’s Spanish arm, is the second partner to join Lovells’ Madrid arm. As first reported on www.thelawyer.com/lawyernews on 26 February the City firm hired Cuatrecasus’ former head of corporate Jose Maria Balan de Eguia as its managing partner for Spain.

Lovells’ Madrid office opened for business at the start of the month with three partners and seven assistants.
