Former president of the UK Supreme Court, Lord Phillips of Worth Matravers, has become a distinguished fellow and visiting professor at King’s College London’s Dickson Poon school of law.
Lord Phillips served as Supreme Court president for three years until his retirement, he was previously Lord Chief Justice.
Professor Timothy Macklem, head of the school, says: “Lord Phillips brings an incomparable wealth of knowledge and experience, having served the legal system to the highest level, as the first president of the UK Supreme Court. This will be of enormous benefit to our staff, students and other partners across King’s.”
The appointment follows news that Reed Smith and KCL have formed an Anglo-French LLB partnership. (18 October)
