San Francisco-headquartered Morrison & Foerster is the latest US firm to announce its partnership promotions, making up 24 to the partnership.
This is three more partners than last year. The firm has both equity and salaried partners.
The London office missed out on any new promotions. Last year it scored two new partners.
The firm's San Francisco headquarters gained the biggest amount of promotions, with five new partners. But the Tokyo office also did well, with three new partners.
Unsurprisingly for the firm, which is traditionally strong in IP and biosciences, seven of the new partners have expertise within IP, patents and technology.
MoFo chair Keith Wetmore said: "Seven of the members of this class were our summer associates. Women make up one-third of the new class."
He continued: "This class also has a large concentration of lawyers with significant international, government and company experience."

US Firms in London
Not a surprise really. MoFo is typical of a Californian firm in London that has no real reason to be in the market. They are recognized as "bottom feeders" in most markets they operate in.
Does london need a San Francisco based firm that competes on price? It's not a business model that many sensible people would consider investing in. Exit London, Asia and New York and MoFo partners would enjoy a significant increase in PEP.
