London is the international capital of commercial dispute resolution, according to a report published by British Invisibles.
The city handles so much arbitration and mediation that the organisation is promoting it worldwide with a document entitled Delivering Results - Dispute Resolution in London, edited by Lord Hacking of Littleton Chambers.
He says London handles up to 5,000 international arbitrations and mediations a year, which may be as many as 10 times the number done in New York.
"Organisations from all around the world come to London in order to resolve their disputes," says Hacking.
Arbitrator Judith Gill of A&O says: "We have tried to collate the information available so that people interested in arbitrating in London can pick up one document and have all the contacts they need."
