London comes up trumps in White & Case promotions round

White & Case has made a record number of London associates up to partner in its latest round of promotions.

Ten out of a total of 31 have been made up in London compared to seven out of 25 in 2006 and one out of 16 in 2005.

London fared better than all the other offices in the White & Case network with the firm's New York, Washington and Miami offices receiving a combined total of seven promotions between them.

The firm's European offices received a total of eight promotions, with the Frankfurt office making up the most with two promotions.

Firmwide chairman Hugh Verrier said: "These new partners are the future of White & Case. Their talent and commitment enhance our ability to serve our clients' needs around the world."

In London the new partners are dispersed across the corporate, finance, employment and litigation practice groups.
