This year, The Lawyer’s annual ranking of the largest UK law firms by turnover is available as an interactive, digital benchmarking tool. For the first time this will allow you to manipulate each data set against the metrics of your choice.
DLA Piper has promoted litigation lawyers Miriam Gonzalez and Tom Canning, who both feature in this year's The Lawyer Hot 100, to its partnership.
Gonzalez, who is based in London, is one of 12 to be promoted in the capital, while Canning has taken on the partnership role in Dubai.
The London office again received the lion's share of partner promotions, with 12 out of 69. Last year the firm promoted 10 out of 66 in London. Chief executive officer Nigel Knowles said that this year the firm has promoted a record number across its global platform. He added: "Our primary focus is always on our clients and these new partners have demonstrated their skills, commitment and ability to look after our clients around the world."
The UK regions also fared well, with Manchester receiving six new partners, the second-highest number worldwide. Leeds and Sheffield gained one new partner apiece.
Internationally, Washington DC saw the greatest number of new partners at six, with five in San Diego and Chicago.
DLA Piper also promoted 29 lawyers to the role of legal director and 145 became associates.
