The Lawyer Global Litigation Top 50 report is the only ranking of international law firms by litigation and arbitration revenue and is essential reading for anyone seeking to benchmark their litigation and dispute resolution practices...
This year, The Lawyer’s annual ranking of the largest UK law firms by turnover is available as an interactive, digital benchmarking tool. For the first time this will allow you to manipulate each data set against the metrics of your choice.
Local government in Central London is in a recruitment crisis, with four neighbouring boroughs all fighting for new legal chiefs.
Islington is looking for a new head of legal services after Louise Round was promoted to director of corporate resources last month, and Camden, Hackney and Haringey are all competing for new legal team leaders.
Round said: "This is a competitive time for hiring lawyers in local government generally, but in London the challenge is greater than ever."
Meanwhile, Camden is seeking a head of legal services after director of law and administration Alison Lowton left last November.
At the same time, Hackney, Islington's neighbour to the east and one of the host boroughs of the 2012 Olympics, is looking to fill the borough solicitor vacancy created by last month's sacking of Meic Sullivan Gould (The Lawyer, 16 April).
In Haringey the council is seeking to fill the role of head of legal services and monitoring officer, which was left vacant when Davina Fiore left for a role as head of legal services at the London Fire & Emergency Planning Authority in January.
