Warwickshire firm Lodders has increased its private client capability through a merger with Balsall Com-mon-based KJ Martin & Co.
Lodders senior partner Nigel Phillips said: "We're just strengthening further our private client practice. This seemed a suitable opportunity to bolt on some private client specialists." Private client specialist Kevin Martin set up niche practice KJ Martin in 1979. Both he and fellow former KJ Martin partner Karen Bridges will act in a consultative capacity for Lodders. Phillips said that the decision to merge was integral to the firm's expansion throughout the county. Lodders has offices in Stratford-upon-Avon, Henley-in-Arden and Shipton-on-Stour. The integration of KJ Martin into Lodders enables the firm to immediately extend its client base. "KJ Martin clients can be confident that they will continue to be well served," said Phillips. "Our focus is to offer a high standard of customer service, with the added benefit of our considerable resources and depth of expertise. "We'll be looking to sustain and build on the reputation KJ Martin has established over the past 22 years for quality of service and private client expertise." Commenting on future developments, Phillips said that he was always interested in opportunities, but had no immediate plans to enlarge the firm still further.
