Lloyd-Jones keeps top job at Blake Lapthorn

Blake Lapthorn has re-elected its senior partner Jonathan Lloyd-Jones for a further three-year term.

Lloyd-Jones made partner in 1990 in the firm’s ­litigation practice, where he specialises in construction, professional negligence and contract disputes.

He is based mostly in Blake Lapthorn’s Oxford office and first took the part-time senior partner post in 2005, having originally joined the firm in 1988.

The firm recently consolidated its Southampton offices into one location and rebranded from Blake Lapthorn Tarlo Lyons – something Lloyd-Jones said had reinvigorated the firm.

Blake Lapthorn has made a number of redundancies in recent months, laying off 43 people due to its dependence on property work.
