Challinors, DMH Stallard and Freeth Cartwright are among the 40 law firms to have been appointed to the Treasury Solicitors’ Lit-Cat, panel beating more than 100 other competitors.
Browne Jacobson, DMH Stallard, Kennedys and Weightmans are the big winners on Treasury Solicitors’ Lit-Cat panel review, among a total of 40 law firms appointed.
The 40 firms saw off more than 100 other competitors to win their spots on the litigation panel, which last three years.
Treasury Solicitor Paul Jenkins said the panel reflects TSol’s commitment to working with private sector providers which can bring costs savings and make the best use of available skills.
Jenkins said: “The Lit-Cat panel consists of firms that have proven, through open competition, that they are capable of contributing to that goal. TSol has also made clear its commitment to cross governmental working by making Lit-Cat available to all government departments."
Within the Lit-Cat panel are six lots spanning employment, personal injury (PI), specialised litigation support, regulatory and debt recovery. One lot is also dedicated to the regions across England and Wales.
Browne Jacobson, Kennedys and Weightmans were all appointed to PI, while the two latter were also selected for employment litigation. Weightman’s third allocation was to the regions lots, which DMH Stallard is also a member.
DMH Stallard is also on debt recovery and regulatory alongside Browne Jacobson, which has its final spot of specialised litigation support.
Five other firms - Berryman Lace Mawer, Flint Bishop, Foot Anstey, Freeth Cartwright, Howes Percival and Muckle - won two lots each on the Lit-Cat panel.
