Linklaters’ China arm has poached Slaughter and May corporate partner Paul Chow for its Hong Kong office.

Chow, a specialist in M&A, capital markets and IPOs, is set to join Linklaters on 18 April.

Linklaters’ Greater China managing partner Zili Shao said: “During the past year we have added five new partners focusing various aspects of business in China including M&A, capital markets, derivatives, securitsation, dispute resolution and fincancial regulatory advice. In combining Paul’s practice with our existing teams in Hong Kong, Shanghai and Beijing, we are even better posotioned to support our clients who are interested in inbound or outbound investment in China.”

Slaughter and May practice partner David Frank told The Lawyer: “Paul was a local partner and his move was motivated by Linklaters’ presence in Shanghai.”
