Linklaters projects partner Fiona Hobbs will lead the team, which will also consist of projects partner Charlotte Morgan, environment and planning partner David Watkins, property partner Anne Minogue and competition partner Gavin Robert.
Hobbs said: “This is a landmark development and we look forward to working with DfT's in-house legal team on it, as well as bringing our extensive experience of the rail sector to the project.”
The Crossrail service will run from Maidenhead in Berkshire to Shenfield in Essex and Abbey Wood in the South East of London, providing a direct route between east and west and a connection to Heathrow Airport. A new underground tunnel will be developed to run from Whitechapel to Paddington, with stations planned at Liverpool Street, Farringdon, Tottenham Court Road and Bond Street.
