  • Linklaters' International Finance Section was my third seat as an articled clerk (trainee solicitor) and Terence was my principal for 7 months during my time there in 1982/1983. Working with him was demanding, but he never failed to praise generously when I did well on any assignment; when I fell short, then all hell would break loose and he could be harsh. But the lesson was learned and he never dwelt on things afterwards. He was the consumate professional and my debt to him as a legal practitioner 28 years on is just enormous.
