Linklaters has reshuffled its Europe management team after appointing Belgium partner Jean-Pierre Blumberg as European managing partner.
Blumberg, who has managed the firm’s Belgian practice since 2001, succeeds former European managing partner Jean-Marc Lefèvre, whose four-year term of office has come to an end.
As European managing partner, Blumberg will represent Linklaters’ mainland Western European offices, such as Italy and Spain, on the firm’s executive committee. His remit excludes Germany, which is represented by Germany senior partner Michael Lappe.
Blumberg said: “We have made remarkable progress across Europe under Jean-Marc’s leadership. I am looking forward to working with our people and clients across the region to build on this success.”
Brussels capital markets head François De Bauw takes over the reins in Belgium from Blumberg as managing partner for Belgium.
