Linklaters' burgeoning private equity team may not have Weil Gotshal & Manges' Mike Francies on board, but it did land an instruction from shared client HG Capital. HG Capital led a £91m management buyout of Computer Software Group, advised by Osborne Clarke. Corporate partners Jonathan King and Ray Berg led the team at Osborne Clarke. CMS Cameron McKenna scored a role advising Computer Software Group's management. Linklaters and Weil are the two firms on the private equity house's panel of legal advisers. Linklaters private equity partner Richard Youle led on the deal, along with associate Matthew Elliot. At Weil, private equity partner Marco Compagnoni manages the relationship. He brought HG Capital with him from Lovells in 2006.
