Linklaters & Alliance is opening three new European offices and has poached a Clifford Chance partner to head up one of the three new Central and Eastern Europe offices.

Csaba Berecz moves from Clifford Chance's Budapest office to become managing partner in Linklaters new Hungarian office which opens in Budapest early next year.

Linklaters has also taken the managing partners of Burns Schwartz's Bratislava and Bucharest offices to head up its new offices in Slovakia and Romania.

Jason Mogg and Michael Tetrault Schilling become the managing partners in Slovakia and Romania respectively.

Nick Eastwell, the Linklaters' partner responsible for central and eastern Europe says: “We are committed to consolidating our presence in Europe.

“As the countries of central and eastern Europe move closer to being part of the integrated European currency and approach EU membership, they are increasingly important to our clients' business.”
