Linklaters Sweden managing partner Jörgen Durban is standing down to make way for Stockholm's M&A corporate chief Peter Högström.
Durban is giving up the managerial role to return to full-time practice, leaving the path clear for Högström to take over as managing partner on 1 September.
Högström, who joined Linklaters (then named Lagerlöf & Leman) in 1989, will continue as a fee-earner while undertaking his new management responsibilities.
Jean Marc Lefèvre, Linklaters European managing partner, said: "Peter has the right management skills and experience to build on Jörgen's achievements and lead the continued development of the office."
The news comes as the magic circle's Nordic office took a hit in April after Bird & Bird raided the firm for its Swedish head of litigation Henrik Bielenstein.
