Linklaters' Hong Kong-based corporate partner Dominic Tsun has quit after almost eight years with the magic circle firm.
Tsun's departure will come as a blow to the firm as he has close relationships with a number of investment banks, including Goldman Sachs and HSBC.
Last April he advised HSBC, which was global coordinator, bookrunner, lead manager and sponsor on the listing of Nam Tai Electronic & Electrical Products.
In the same month he also acted for JPMorgan, which was the sponsor and bookrunner on the initial public offering by Solomon Systech.
Tsun, a partner in the Hong Kong office since 1998, is leaving the firm to pursue opportunities in investment banking. The Lawyer understands that he has yet to secure a new position.
