Lovells has beefed up its global intellectual property media and technology practice with the addition of a new partner in Warsaw from Linklaters.
Krystyna Szczepanowska-Kozlowska joins the firm from Linklaters, where she was a counsel. The firm has recently been expanding its IP capabilities with the launch of a patent litigation practice in the US under David Leichtman and Veronica Mullally as well as the addition of a seven-strong bengoshi team in Asia.
Managing partner David Harris said: "IP litigation is an important area for the firm and the growth of our practice in Poland is part of a wider investment programme in the IPMT practice also demonstrated by recent hires in the US and Japan."
Szczepanowska-Kozlowska's practice focuses on trademark and patent litigation and she also advises in relation to unfair competition law, domain name work and data protection with particular experience of the pharmaceutical industry. She will work closely with Lovells' life sciences group.
Szczepanowska-Kozlowska said she was attracted to Lovells by its emphasis on cross-border work and the potential to cross sell into its offices in Asia and the US.
