Linklaters has scored the advisory role in a key Indian real estate IPO.
The Rs.91.88m (£1.1bn) IPO of India's largest real estate developer DLF saw the firm assemble a team that consisted of lawyers in India, London, Tokyo, Hong Kong and the US.
Arun Balasubramanium, a partner in the firm's India group, and US associates Emily Johnson and Arwen Joyce, led the Linklaters team.
The IPO saw the company float on the National Stock Exchange of India and the Bombay Stock Exchange. The shares from the IPO have been placed with institutions around the world, calling for the involvement of the firm's international offices.
In Tokyo associate Kosuke Yatabe and legal assistant Yukiko Ona focused on share placings, as did New York tax associates Francisco Duque and Jessica Bodack.
"The success of the IPO demonstrates the emergence of the Indian real estate sector as a key destination for foreign institutional investment into India," said Balasubramanium.
