Julia Berris

Linklaters has finalised its 20-strong US team advising PricewaterhouseCoopers on the Lehman Brothers bankruptcy.

New York-based partner Larry Byrne and head of US restructuring and insolvency group, Martin Flics are leading the seven-partner and 14-associate team.

Byrne and Flics have been joined by fellow New York partners Adam Glass in structured finance, bankruptcy specialist Mary Warren, litigator Paul Hessler, Joshua Berick in corporate and banking partner Sabrena Silver.

Last week (19 September), The Lawyer reported that Linklaters had assembled a UK team of 20 partners in the space of five days led by restructuring head, Tony Bugg.

It is thought the total number of lawyers expected to play a role on the historic bankruptcy could reach 200 within months.

New York bankruptcy star Harvey Miller is leading a Weil Gotshal & Manges team advising Lehman on its Chapter 11 filing. Milbank Tweed Hadley & McCloy is advising the creditors committee with partner Paul Aronzon leading a team from the US firm.
