Linklaters, DLA Piper strengthen Asia groups" />Linklaters is to boost its banking and projects offering in Singapore with the transfer of infrastructure partner Richard Ginks from London.
Ginks, who joined the magic circle firm as a trainee in 1996 and became a partner last year, will move to Singapore in September, bringing the number of partners locally to 11.
Linklaters Asia managing partner Giles White said Ginks’ move comes as energy and infrastructure projects are on “a growth trajectory” in the region.
“His international expertise in complex financing structures will be welcomed by both the team and our clients here,” White added.
The news comes as DLA Piper transfers Brussels-based competition partner David Cox to Hong Kong.
EMEA head of Competition, Trade and Transport Mike Pullen said Cox will be working across Hong Kong and Beijing advising clients on international competition issues and regulatory developments.
"His understanding of international competition issues is renowned and he will be a valuable addition to our Greater China team as they face new and exciting opportunities in this dynamic market," said Pullen.
