Linklaters continues management overhaul

Linklaters‘ reshuffle continued today (18 May) with the announcement of new national heads for the litigation and arbitration practices for the UK and Belgium.

Litigation partner Michael Bennett, who has been with the magic circle firm for 18 years, becoming a partner almost a decade ago, will head the UK dispute resolution practice.

Bennett takes over from John Turnbull, who was appointed divisional practice head for commercial at the end of April.

In Belgium, meanwhile, litigation partner Joost Verlinden, who has been with the firm since 1991, being made partner seven years later, takes over the Belgian head of litigation and arbitration role from Johan Verbist, who is returning to full-time client work.

The news comes just three weeks after former banking head John Tucker replaced Giles White as the firm’s head of finance and projects (30 April).

Robert Elliott, who is the former global head of financial restructuring, replaced Tucker as banking chief, meaning Elliott’s previous position is still up for grabs.
