Partner Peter Treacy relocates from Hong Kong to develop Thai practice
Hong Kong-based Linklaters partner Peter Treacy has moved to the firms Bangkok office. The move coincides with CMS Cameron McKennas decision to significantly down-size its presence in China and comes at a time when firms are reviewing their strategies in the region. Treacy joins fellow partner Wilailuk Okanurak in Bangkok and will be charged with building Linklaters banking and projects practice in Thailand. Treacy, who has been in Asia for eight years, is experienced in advising banks, sponsors, project companies, corporate borrowers and creditors, particularly in energy, infrastructure and telecoms transactions. He has acted on many high profile Thai deals including the Star Refinery Refinacing, Nong Khae Power Project and the Bangkok Mass Transit System.
