Linklaters burgeoning structured finance and securitisation practice in Asia has raided Clifford Chance for a team of four lawyers.
The magic circle firm has hired securitisation partner Mary Matson as a consultant and managing associates Paul Chu and Edith Au Yeung. In addition, Lora Lam will be joining Linklaters in the coming weeks.
The team will be joining the former head of Clifford Chance’s Asian capital markets practice Paul Kruger who joined Linklaters’ Tokyo office earlier this month (first revealed on www.thelawyer.com 17 May).
The appointments come after Linklaters becomes the first overseas firm to take advantage of the Japenese bar rules that came into force in April.
