Linklaters has appointed Paris managing partner Jean-Marc Lefèvre as its new European managing partner.
In taking up the role, Lefèvre will hand over management responsibilities for France to Thierry Vassogne, although he will continue as co-head of Linklaters’ Paris office.
Lefèvre took up his new responsibilities on 1 February for an initial period of three years. The role has been created to further develop Linklaters’ activities on the Continent and the relationships between offices and practices.
Previously, Lefèvre has also been the chair of Linklaters’ European committee.
The firm’s managing partner, Tony Angel, said Lefèvre’s corporate expertise and management experience would make him "ideally suited" for the position.
