Linklaters announces new restructuring chief

Linklaters has appointed London finance partner Tony Bugg as its new global head of restructuring and insolvency, the firm has announced.

The position became vacant last month when Robert Elliot became global head of banking following John Tucker’s elevation to global head of finance.

Bugg joined Linklaters in 1997 from Dibb Lupton, now DLA Piper. He has advised the administrators of the MG Rover insolvency and has been active on the Enron administration in the UK.

Other recent deals include advising Sun European Partners on a series of acquisitions.
