LG has boosted its ranks with the hire of an employment partner from Eversheds.
Helga Breen took up the post as partner with the firm's 12-strong employment team today (3 September).
LG senior partner Bill Richards said: "Helga's a successful and talented employment lawyer.
"As well as having experience in employment cases involving individuals, she's been involved in some pretty big projects.
"We feel she'll add a lot to the team."
Helga's past experience includes advising on the creation of the Financial Services Authority and the Office of Communications.
Richards said the hire is not part of a firmwide strategy to ramp up its employment capabilities, but added that Breen's appointment is a significant hire for LG.
"Every firm needs a good employment team because its work covers the entirety of the firm," Richards added. "It's hard to find good-quality employment lawyers, but they're extremely valuable to the firm as a whole."
