  • LG talk the talk but are now reaping the continuing failure of management to invest in corporate and support areas like tax.

  • This firm has three options:

    - merge
    - become a specialist boutique (which would require as much as half the staff to be lost)
    - continue on the current path and face a Halliwells style collapse

  • FFW just dodged a bullet. Losing 10 equity partners in a year is a bad sign, and it is little wonder they are struggling. Hoping "new opportunities in the Brazilian market" will save them sounds desparate. Another one bites the dust!

  • With the average LG solicitor billing a few hours a day is this really a surprise?

  • My only experience with LG was being ignored as a new head of legal. After waiting some time to be contacted I decided that the lead partner didn't think in-house lawyers were important. This is a fair enough approach where pre-existing relationships are already in place. Nevertheless, I sacked the firm.

  • I had the same experience. I tried to get advice from LG shortly after I was appointed in-house and my telephone calls were ignored. And I am a former LG partner!
