Lawrence Graham has hired a private client partner from Ogier in a bid to boost its Singapore office.
The firm has taken British Virgin Islands private client head Zac Lucas.
It is the firm’s first lateral hire since it launched in the region earlier this year with former senior partner Penny Francis spearheading the move (17 February 2012).
Private capital partner Nick Jacob and corporate partner Geoff Gouriet split their time between London and Singapore.
The addition of Lucas represents an ambition to grow the firm’s private client strength internationally.
LG linked up with PK Wong & Associates, a full-service corporate and commercial firm focusing on M&A, dispute resolution and restructuring.
In June, LG announced an alliance with Brazilian firm Motta Fernandes Rocha Advogados. (15 June 2012).
Senior partner Andrew Witts confirmed the hire.

From what I hear this is a solid hire - as are LG's other gains this year; partnership hires made primarily from 2Birds, Linklaters, Herbert Smith and Stephenson Harwood. This is in conjunction with two decent alliances formed this year and a growing presence in Dubai.
Hence, why does revenue keep falling and teams recruited one year are routinely lost the next??

I suspect FFW uncovered some problems that may be difficult to solve - their real estate issue being the main one. They also appear to have lost as many people as they have gained, with the most recent last week.
