This year, The Lawyer’s annual ranking of the largest UK law firms by turnover is available as an interactive, digital benchmarking tool. For the first time this will allow you to manipulate each data set against the metrics of your choice.
LG has promoted two lawyers to partner, with the corporate and dispute resolution practices gaining one each.
This is half the number that made the grade last year and one fewer than were promoted in 2009.
James Sidwell joins the disputes partnership. He specialises in domestic and cross-border disputes in the banking and financial services sectors together with risk management, contentious regulatory and investigatory work.
David Ponsford has been made up in corporate. He specialises in corporate finance, M&A and equity capital markets, with a particular interest in the renewable energy and cleantech sectors.
In a statement managing partner, Hugh Maule said: “We’re extremely pleased to welcome James and David to the partnership. They really are rising stars in their respective areas of expertise and have excelled during their time at the firm, materially contributing to LG’s overarching business objectives.”
Last year LG made up one partner each in litigation, real estate, competition and IP. The previous year it promoted two to the corporate partnership and one to the private capital group (23 April 2009).
