LG-Caltex Oil Corporation's bond issue was a sole counsel transaction. Clearz`y Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton advised Credit Suisse First Boston as bookrunner and global coordinator. Caltex was advised by Hong Kong firm Kim & Chang, but Cleary Gottlieb advised it on US law. Cleary Gottlieb provides advice for Credit Suisse in a number of jurisdictions but it also has a longstanding relationship with LG-Caltex.
