Lewis Silkin has reported 17 per cent turnover increase to £29.4m for the year ending 31 March.
The figure reflects steady growth at the firm, which last year reported a 16 per cent increase at its 2007 year-end to £25.2m. (The Lawyer, 8 May 2007 Average profit per equity partner rose by 16 per cent from £285,000 to £330,000.
The results follow a year of instructions for the firm which included its employment practice successfully defending Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer from an age discrimination claim filed by former Freshfields partner Peter Bloxham.
The firm’s corporate practice completed 80 deals with a combined value of £1.4bn.
Managing partner Ian Jeffreys said there was growth across all of the firm's five practice areas of employment, real estate, TMT, corporate and litigation.
"Prestigious instructions are very welcome but of course we have a bedrock of regular work which keeps us busy. There is more to it then just the headline figures," he added.
