Lewis Silkin bolsters corporate with hires from FSI and Kaye Scholer
Lewis Silkin has made a double partner hire with the addition of Graham Reid from Finers Stephens Innocent and Owen Watkins from Kaye Scholer.
Head of corporate Jo Evans said the hires were intended to fill a gap in the firm’s corporate practice by adding regulatory expertise.
Prior to joining Kaye Scholer barrister Watkins worked with the FSA and the Securities and Investments Board. He specialises in advising clients on matters related to the Financial Services and Markets Act (FSMA).
Banking partner Reid, who has expertise in advising borrowers and investors, will also join the corporate practice.
The hires underline a strategic push to attract AIM market instructions, Evans added.
“It’s about filling in expertise and skill gaps and helping us to build a reputation in the AIM market,” she said.
