Mr Justice Leveson is to become the latest Court of Appeal judge. The incumbent Lord Justice Brooke retires on 30 September and Leveson J will become a Lord Justice of Appeal on 2 October. Leveson J will also become the Senior Presiding Judge for England and Wales from 1 January, succeeding Lord Justice Thomas. Mr Justice Wilkie will become Presiding Judge of the North Eastern circuit in January, and Mr Justice Bean and Mr Justice Cooke become Presiding Judges for the South Eastern circuit.
