Legal team takes shape at the ODA
DLA Piper Rudnick Gray Cary partner Peter Rout has scooped one of the last key roles on the 2012 Olympic Games organising team as head of legal for the interim Olympic Delivery Authority (ODA).
Project finance partner Rout starts at the ODA today (21 November) on secondment from DLA Piper. The ODA has been designed to be the single delivery body responsible for creating the infrastructure for the 2012 Olympic Games.
The other key roles among the in-house teams belong to Berwin Leighton Paisner's Frances McLeman, who is on secondment at the London Development Agency (LDA), Charlie Wijeratna, head of legal and commercial at London 2012, and Sara Friend, head of legal at the British Olympic Association.
Ashurst, Clifford Chance and Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer continue to advise London 2012, Eversheds is advising the LDA, Farrers is advising the Greater London Assembly, and Denton Wilde Sapte is advising the Government.
