Legal aid lawyers’ group names director

The Legal Aid Practitioners Group (LAPG) has hired Carol Storer as its new director.

Storer, currently a solicitor and legal services manager at Shelter Housing, also chairs the Access to Justice Alliance and sits on the board of the Advice Services Alliance.

She replaces Richard Miller, who has joined the Law Society. Storer will officially undertake her new position in the spring.

Until then acting manager Penny Mackinder will continue to deputise.
