Leeds firm revamps litigation software

Five-partner Leeds firm, Nelson & Co is developing the debt recovery work in its commercial litigation department with help from specialist legal software created by Linetime.

The software, Debtime, is a County and High Court debt recovery package which helps the firm provide a more efficient service.

Head of Nelsons' commercial litigation department Iain Jenkins says: "We have bought Debtime as part of a general upgrading of our service to our clients which includes commercial operations and insurance companies. A large number of cases can be run efficiently making the best use of the litigation timetable which will lead to client satisfaction and cost effectiveness."

Linetime chair and managing director John Burrill says: "Debt recovery litigation can be extremely time-consuming. However, the difficult economic landscape of the last few years has increased this type of work and this software helps lawyers to improve their service and increases the number of cases they can handle at any one time."
