BIRMINGHAM construction law firm Neil F Jones will lose senior partner Jeffrey Brown to rival firm Lee Crowder. He joins Lee Crowder as a construction law partner.
Brown, senior partner for five years before stepping down in January to be replaced by Simon Baylis, is due to join Lee Crowder next month. He wants to build up his non-contentious construction law practice and feels there are more opportunities to do so at Lee Crowder.
Brown says: "Lee Crowder is a firm that is going places and has targeted construction law as a growth area."
Brown joins construction partner Stephen Belshaw, former head of the litigation department at Newcastle under Lyme firm Knight & Sons. Lee Crowder also recruited company and commercial law partner Mark Hodge from Manchester firm Pannone & Partners in July.
