Lee & Thompson wins libel damages for Peter Andre
Media boutique Lee & Thompson and 5 Raymond Buildings have secured libel damages for Peter Andre in a case against People newspaper.
Andre (pictured) turned to Lee & Thompson partner Mike Brookes, who instructed David Sherborne at 5 Raymond Buildings, for the case, which was heard in the High Court in front of Mr Justice Eady.
Andre has accepted undisclosed libel damages from People newspaper over a story that claimed he had been unfaithful to his estranged wife Katie Price. The story was published in May this year.
People was represented by Davenport Lyons partner Philip Conway, who did not instruct counsel.
Andre has instructed Stephen Foster of litigation boutique Stewarts Law on his impending divorce from Price (1 June 2009).
Price has turned to celebrity divorce expert Fiona Shackleton, a partner at Payne Hicks Beech.
